From April Weds 7.30pm-8.30pm class has moved from St Aidans Church Hall to :- Buxton Rd United Reformed Church Hall Lake Street Stockport SK2 7NR

with a fantastic sprung wooden floor and nearby parking. The venue is a good size hall affiliated with the church and is opposite Stockport Grammar School on the main A6 (on Left if travelling fm Stockport to Hazel Grove Direction) the church spire is a good landmark which can be seen from A6.

Also at this venue, we have started a new class called "Zumba". Zumba® is the Ultimate Latin and International dance fitness workout 50 mins of body blasting, calorie burning awe inspiring movements. For people who like to Party!

so now Weds 6.30pm-7.20pm Zumba® 7.30-8.30pm Zehara Dance class

Sat 12th June 2010 we will be at The 31st Didsbury Festival held in Didsbury Park event is 12-4pm with 11am procession with "South African Theme" for world cup.

Sat 19th June 2010 we will be at Chapel Carnival parade starts at 1pm and we will be performing in park shortly after parade.

Sat 20th June 2010 we will be out and about around Macclesfield Town Centre at the recently revived Barnaby Festival

Sat 26th June 2010 we will be at Heald Green Festival fun local community event.

Sun 27th June 2010 in afternoon Urban Gypsies a couple of performance slots and later a taster workshop with Zehara at Buxton Health and Healing Festival Pavillion Gardens Buxton

Sat 8th May 2010 Bridlington Health & Healing Festival at the Spa with an enormous stage and fabulous Victorian venue, a weekend away to dance at MBS Mind & Body Event was great fun, and we enthusiastically celebrated one of the groups birthdays, and everyone stayed in caravans in Bridlington so lots of fun & frivolity.

May Bank Hol Weekend Sat 1st May Nottingham Mayday Parade also attended Mon 3rd May Chesterfield Mayday Parade the rain missed us at both events in fact sunny most of time and we had great time in the parades and also raising awareness for lot of good causes and we appeared on ITV news which helped raise profile.

Sun 25th April 2010 Health & Healing Festivals York at York Racetrack, fantastic venue and loads of great stalls, lots of children joined in with our performance.

Sat 24th April 2010 Nantwich Civic Hall Mind Body & Spirit Fair 10-6pm Beam Street Nantwich Cheshire CW5 5DG tickets £2-3 Performances by Urban Gypsies 1pm and 2pm and Zehara leading a fun taster Belly Dance session at 3pm. Another great day out in lovely historic Nantwich, nearly all the group performed at this event and created a colourful spectacle that was greatly appreciated.

Fri 26th March 2010 6-7pm Free event FX Fridays in the main foyer of The Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre in Manchester city centre. The "Urban Gypsies" performed their own show of famous eccletic dances. Press release "With their energetic style and fabulous rhythmic world music with strong African overtones, URBAN GYPSIES, founded by Zehara, are completely unique" - Great turn out Foyer was packed.

Sat 13th March 2010 Shimmer Bellydance Showcase The Gate Keppoch Street Cardiff CF24 3JW show from 7pm. Event for cancer charity Tenovus - a wonderful show and the whole audience waved arms in unison as the Gypsies rounded off the first half of the show, in the ultimate audience participation experience.

Sat 13th & Sun 14th February 2010 small group of Urban Gypsies were warmly received at the Valentine Weekend Mind Body & Spirit Fair at Stockport Masonic Hall 169 Wellington Road South Stockport Sk1 3UA at 1.30pm & 3pm both days event 10.30-7pm and Zehara led a fun taster Belly Dance session at 4pm both days.

January 2010 The "Urban Gypsies" went down a storm at both the Equity Annual Party held at Monroes in Manchester and also during February 2010 at the Three Counties Belly Dance Festival in Malvern
