Home    Table of all belly dance classes     I am called Jan and I am male, I specialise more in Hula (Hawaiian) dance.  I have discovered that the complex hand motions of Hula and the lovely rhythmic qualities of African music can be used to create a lovely intoxicating new hybrid of expressive dance. I come from a personal passion that more people, particularly men need to be initiated into dance. The flowy, undulating and expressive qualities makes this very similar to Belly Dance.

Times and costs  Tuesdays 1 to 2pm and Fridays 1 to 2pm  £4 per class (£2 concessions) 

Directions  The  centre is located in the centre of Stockport on a road called Chestergate that passes down the side of the shopping centre. The old Plaza cinema that is being refurbished is at one end and there is a long taxi rank directly outside the Wellbeing Centre. The Plaza cinema faces an open area that is directly in front of the shopping centre and on the other side is the A6 that starts going uphill. On the other side of this open area is Debenhams.
