Tel 0161 487 4134 for more info     Dress Code  Comfortable, covered if you wish, scarves and veils available at the class. People tend to come in everyday casual wear. Some simply come in their day clothes and just slip off their shoes. Most people come in something casual, as if they are going out Saturday shopping on a warm day. Over time a few people purchase those jingly scarves that they wrap around their hips. These are readily available at any internet belly dance stockist. At the public belly dance classes I would say that very rarely if at all anybody dresses especially for the belly dance classes - that's how easy going and casual they are!

We have a very wide range of people coming and all the belly dance classes are busy so whatever you wear, you won't stand out. Everyone tends to be very welcoming of new people so as they say at our belly dance classes, there are no strangers, only friends you haven't met!

The only point that may be worth mentioning is footwear. Some sort of light pump or those lightweight sports shoes you get nowadays would be advisable for the Tues and Wed class. The Wed St Aidan's class is an old parquet floor that can shed splinters. The Thurs Heaton Moor class is a proper wooden ballroom floor that that's fine for bare feet. The Tues Parrs Wood class has a very clean albeit a hard floor. So if you may find going  barefoot a bit uncomfortable - that's all.

The photo shows a few of our young members of the dance troupe at a festival and the innovative funky style of costumes they have made themselves. It simply shows what can be done with a bit of imagination!
